Gretsch® Announces Refresh of the Streamliner™ Collection

Gretsch® announces a refresh of the Streamliner™ Collection, consisting of Hollowbody, Center Block and Center Block Jr. models that offer new pickups, finishes and features.

The secret to the Streamliner’s sound is an all-new offering from Gretsch—the Broad’Tron™ BT-2S humbucking pickup. Voiced specifically for the entire Streamliner Collection, the high-output BT-2S pickup spawns improved definition with tighter bass response for robust lows, pristine highs and a throaty midrange.

The Streamliner Hollow Body is offered in two models — the G2420 Streamliner™ Hollow Body with Chromatic II tailpiece and the G2420T Streamliner™ Hollow Body with Bigsby®. The G6420 is available in Aged Brooklyn Burst, Village Amber or Walnut Stain, while the G2420T is offered in Candy Apple Red, Golddust or Riviera Blue.

Big, bold and righteous, both fully hollow-body models feature a 12”-radius laurel fingerboard with pearloid Hump Block inlays and 22 medium jumbo frets, bound nato neck with a thin “U”-shaped profile, enlarged F-holes for increased acoustic projection, elegant aged white binding with upgraded purfling, Adjusto-Matic™ bridge with secured laurel base, tortoise pickguard, nickel hardware and black vintage-style control knobs. Sonic power is harnessed and shaped by the traditional control layout—neck and bridge pickup volume controls, master tone control, master volume control and three-way pickup switching.

The Streamliner Center Block offers three models — G2622 Streamliner™ Center Block with V-Stoptail, G2622LH Streamliner™ Center Block with V-Stoptail and G2622T Streamliner™ Center Block with Bigsby®.  Featuring a V-Stoptail tailpiece, the G2622is available in Phantom Metallic, Single Barrel Stain or Walnut Stain with a tortoise pickguard, while the left-handed version is offered in Single Barrel Stain or Torino Greenwith a black pickguard. The G2622T features a Bigsby® B70 vibrato tailpiece and is available in Gunmetal, Riviera Blue or Torino Green with a black pickguard.

All Center Block models feature a lightweight spruce center block that runs the length of the double-cut body, reinforcing the top while eliminating undesired feedback for volume-friendly performance on rocking stages. These models also feature a fast-playing 12”-radius laurel fingerboard with elegant pearloid Big Block inlays and 22 medium jumbo frets, bound nato neck with a thin “U”-shaped profile, enlarged F-holes for increase acoustic projection, anchored Adjusto-Matic™ bridge, elegant aged white binding with upgraded purfling, nickel hardware and vintage-style black control knobs.
