A jazz and classical guitarist with incredible skills.
» A LITTLE ABOUT
Pasquale was conservatory-trained in classical guitar at Music Conservatory of Bologna under Professor Walter Zanetti. He has won major international guitar competitions, including the Wes Montgomery International Jazz Guitar Competition in New York City in 2015.
» HIS GUITAR STYLE…
Grasso has creatively developed an impressively clean, dazzling, and sparkling counterpoint and single line techniques with a bebop and classical guitar mix. He plays with a pick or finger style. He will impress even the most jaded listeners. He plays solo and with ensembles on archtops guitars.
» BIRTHDAY
Ariano Irpino, Italy; October 19
» WHERE TO FIND HIM
New York City. Grasso teaches and keeps a packed gig schedule around NYC including a regular Monday gig at Mezzrow, which is a tiny jazz club in Greenwich Village, a genuine listening room, and a perfect venue for this real artist.
» RECORDINGS
A new Sony Masterworks EP was to be released digitally in June by Sony Masterwork and future releases are expected exploring the repertoire of Thelonious Monk, Duke Ellington, Bud Powell and Charlie Parker. Of course, many Youtube recordings are available on-line.
