This Was the Guitar Summit 2019

From 27 to 29 September 2019 Europe’s new guitar show went into its third round: The GUITAR SUMMIT is an event dedicated entirely to the theme of the guitar.

Guitar Summit 2019… For a long weekend Mannheim was once again the centre of the national and international guitar world and was dominated by electric guitars, acoustic guitars, basses, effect pedals, amps, accessories and of course music!

Over 8600 guitar enthusiasts (almost 40% more than last year) came to the largest It was nice to see that the proportion of young visitors had increased noticeably (almost 35% under 35 years).

Over 470 brands showed products at Guitar Summit 2019 on 4 floors, the highly frequented supporting programme presented itself with over 100 workshops on 7 stages.

The popular Masterclass concept was extended, in which guitarists and bassists could learn directly from their idols in small groups. This year almost all 16 Masterclasses were sold out weeks before the event. The popular do-it-yourself area, where guitar kits, effect pedals and even entire guitar amplifiers could be built under expert guidance, was also very popular again.

At the Guitar Summit 2019 evening concerts, which took place on Friday and Saturday in the Mozart Hall of the Rosengarten, international guitar greats such as Paul Gilbert, Billy Sheehan, Jeff Berlin, Stu Hamm, Fredrik Åkesson of Opeth, Alexandr Misko, Petteri Sariola, Janek Pentz or YouTube star Pete Thorn also present as well as German top acts, like Henrik Freischlader with his band as well as “Strat-King” Thomas Blug, who musically directed the great All-Star-Jam.
