Robben Ford Plays Atlanta’s City Winery

Bob Bakert, Editor of Jazz Guitar Today: It was great to hear Robben Ford at the City Winery Atlanta – Friday, January 24.
The band was on point with very deep grooves set up by the rhythm section of Brian Allen on bass and Wes Little on drums. Robben is releasing a new EP this July with sax great Bill Evans but for this gig, top Nashville session player Doug Moffet was brought in on tenor and soprano. They played a couple of tunes from that upcoming release and the unison lines with Robben and Doug were a highlight and a glimpse of what we can expect on the new release.
