Jazz Guitarist John Stowell performs Tapioca Time and provides the music for an example in open-string voicings, close intervals, and double stops.
βMy songs begin as short comping explorations that I extrapolate out into tunes. My goal in sharing them with you is to introduce you to some new sounds and inversions in the context of a melody and some voice leading. I favor pianistic sounds that employ open-string voicings, close intervals, and double stops. All of these sounds are in evidence in my tune βTapioca Timeβ – John Stowell
