In this Jazz Guitar Today lesson, Davy Mooney explains how he became fluent on the fretboard.

In this video, Mooney explains how he became fluent on the fretboard, and learned to play over harmonic progressions on the entire guitar neck, using scale shapes, arpeggio shapes, and also by improvising over tunes in all 8th notes. “Have You Met Miss Jones” is used as an example, and the video culminates with Mooney improvising several choruses over that progression.
