In this installment of Ted Ludwig’s Jazz ‘Lick of the Week’, Ted demonstrates the Tadd Dameron turnaround line.
This line works beautifully with the Tadd Dameron Turnaround. The line starts over the ii V that precedes the turnaround of Dameron’s classic “Lady Bird”. Triad Pairs, Tritone Sub, and solid use of neighbor tones make this melodic line a great addition to your jazz arsenal.
Enjoy. And thanks for tuning in! See you next time.
