In this installment of Ted Ludwig’s Jazz ‘Lick of the Week’, Ted focuses on a ii V I line with good use of motif development.

Episode 21 focuses on a ii V I line with good use of motif development. A really common sound is the use of the Maj 7 interval as a way of creating a leading tone to the root of the D-7 chord.
