Tim Lerch and John Stowell: The Art Of The Duo
Tim Lerch and John Stowell perform the great Gershwin tune, “Embraceable You” as a waltz.
John Stowell: Tim Lerch and I have been friends for many years, and we’ve been collaborating more often lately for a few gigs and workshops. We’re now creating an indie course for TrueFire that covers some strategies for guitar duo-playing. I think that we complement each other well in this setting. We both value the use of space. We also have shared values and ideas about melody and harmony. Tim is a wonderful guitarist and teacher – I’m enjoying working with him.
“The Art of the Duo” will feature performances, explanations, and philosophies about this beautiful way of playing together. Stay tuned for the release of the TrueFire course!
