“From a Window to a Screen” is the debut album by North Carolina chanteuse Kirsten Lambert with Bill Frisell on guitar.
Produced and written by Chris Stamey, the predominantly acoustic-jazz collection features performances by an NC jazz “dream team” of Will Campbell (saxes), John Brown (bass), Jim Crew (piano), Scott Sawyer (guitar), and Dan Davis (drums), along with special appearances by Bill Frisell (guitar), Nels Cline (treated and untreated guitars), Brent Lambert (nylon-string guitar), Julian Lambert (piano, “Evening”), Allyn Love (steel), Matt Douglas (bass clarinet), and the Modrec Strings.
