Guitarist Ted Ludwig demonstrates the Collings Blue Custom from the Blue Guitar Collection – video #17 in the series.

While the late Bill Collings made his name as a builder of excellent flat-top guitars, his archtops are equally revered. The Collings Blue Guitar is a beautiful amalgam of both worlds with the punch of a great archtop but a sweetness and overtone content reminiscent of a good 000. Steve Grimes credits Bill Collings with the use of a UV inhibitor in the finish which has kept the guitar True Blue.
