“Homage”, The New Release From Guitarist Sheryl Bailey and Quartet

Sheryl Bailey’s latest release “Homage” features eight original compositions with Harvie S on bass, Miki Hayama on keyboards, and drummer Neal Smith.

Homage, Sheryl’s 12th recording as a leader, is a retrospective, of sorts. “It’s looking back and giving thanks to all the people that have influenced me and helped me in my career,” said the Boston-based guitarist-educator who in 2020 was named assistant chair in the guitar department at Berklee, where she attended as a student in the ‘80s. “I thought this would be a good time to reflect on all the people that brought me here.”
