Jazz guitarist Vince Lewis continues his JGT Arrangement Series with “Don’t Sleep in the Subway”.
“Don’t Sleep in the Subway” is a tune by Tony Hatch and Jackie Trent. Recorded in 1967 by Petula Clark and became an immediate top 40 hit of the day. Recorded by many jazz artists it has very interesting modulations in the bridge section and makes a terrific swing tune.
