Guitarist Matt Warnock Releases Debut Solo Jazz Guitar Album “Homecoming”
Guitarist, educator, and recording artist Matt Warnock releases his debut solo jazz guitar album “Homecoming” – available on all major streaming platforms.
The 11-track album, produced and engineered by Dustin Jones and released on Tidal Records, represents a deeply personal journey inspired by Matt’s experiences of moving back to his hometown after 25 years and his travels around the world. “Homecoming” is available on all major streaming platforms, including Spotify, Amazon, Tidal, YouTube, and Apple.
The album showcases a blend of bebop, modal jazz, and Brazilian jazz styles, reflecting Matt’s diverse musical influences and the various places he has lived and visited. Each song on “Homecoming” captures a unique story, from tributes to his musical heroes like Lenny Breau and Wes Montgomery to memories of Sao Joao Del Rei, Belo Horizonte, the Sonoran Desert, and Kalamazoo.
“Homecoming” was written and recorded through a unique process, where Matt composed a song each week and recorded it on Thursdays, ensuring that each track reflected his personal growth and experiences at that moment in time. As Matt moves forward, he is already working on his next project, an exciting fusion of instrumental guitar music and AI video.
