Guitarist Jason Keiser’s Latest Live Album, Shaw’s Groove Live at Mama Kin
Keiser’s special live album ‘Shaw’s Groove Live at Mama Kin’ features John Stowell, Erik Jekabson, Aaron Lington, Dan Robbins, & Jason Lewis
“Shaw’s Groove Live at Mama Kin” featured all the members from the official album including jazz guitar master John Stowell, Bay Area heavyweight jazz artists; Erik Jekabson (trumpet/flugelhorn), Grammy Award-winning Bari Saxophonist Aaron Lington, Dan Robbins (double bassist), & Jason Lewis (drums).
These special 2 sets of music stretch in length and take the listener on a unique journey as the sextet has an intensely original dialogue with one another. The other special part of this concert includes new soloists on these beautiful tunes that were not featured on “Shaw’s Groove” most notably John Stowell, Aaron Lington, & Dan Robbins!
“Shaw’s Groove Live at Mama Kin” is the only live concert the jazz sextet has performed together featuring the full band, a special tribute to the late great jazz trumpeter Woody Shaw. The material here includes all the songs from “Shaw’s Groove” and popular jazz standards Woody would often call live on the bandstand.
