2024 Wildacres Jazz Guitar Retreat Featuring Dave Stryker…

Guitarist/educator Dave Stryker will be teaching a jazz guitar retreat in the mountains of North Carolina, Oct. 2 – 6, 2024. The event will be held at the secluded Wildacres Retreat Center located near Little Switzerland.

The retreat is for guitarists of all levels. Teachers will rotate among the 3 or 4 small groups during the morning and afternoons and have an instructional jam with the assigned tunes. Groups are assigned according to skill level. Evenings will consist of teacher and or student performances.  

Dave was Stanley Turrentine’s guitarist for 10 years and has 36 CDs to date recorded as leader. He is currently serving as jazz professor at Rutgers University, Indiana University, and Montclair State University.
