Jazz guitarist Vince Lewis continues his JGT Arrangement Series with an all time classic jazz standard, Cherokee.
Cherokee is all time classic Jazz Standard penned by Big Band Leader Ray Noble, and remains one of the most played and most covered compositions of all time. Favored by Jazz Musicians for its interesting structure and bridge section, Cherokee is also one of the most studied because of the fun transitions and modulations.
Usually played at a fast tempo it is challenging to solo through, while the actual melody line is a smooth flowing broadly stated beautiful crafted composition.
