Charles Williams

Charles Williams is a guitarist specializing in gypsy jazz who resides in Atlanta, Ga. He was a founding member of the Aquarium Rescue Unit featuring Col. Bruce Hampton and wrote songs off both of their Capricorn CDs. He plays guitar in and writes the material for his gypsy jazz group, The Bonaventure Quartet, which has been featured on NPR and written about and reviewed in both Vintage Guitar Magazine and in Michael Dregni’s books, ‘The Illustrated History of Gypsy Jazz’, and ‘In Search of Django Reinhardt and the Soul of Gypsy Jazz.’ He has also performed with Stephane Wrembel, (Grammy award winning composer of the theme for ‘Midnight in Paris’.) He is also a promoter of shows in Atlanta for gypsy jazz artists like Gonzalo Bergara, Rhythm Future Quartet featuring Olli Soikkeli, and Stephane Wrembel.
