Bucky Pizzarelli R.I.P.
Jazz Guitar Today pays tribute to a jazz great, Bucky Pizzarelli.
Bob Bakert, Editor of Jazz Guitar Today: I have been a guitarist as long as I can remember and as long as I can remember, Bucky Pizzarelli has been a hero and an inspiration. Back in the 70s when I devoured Guitar Player magazine and later with Ed Benson’s Just Jazz Guitar magazine, I always was in awe of Bucky and enjoyed the way he presented himself with mastery and grace as a true gentleman of jazz guitar. How do you thank a man who has been one of the pillars of your inspiration, I’m not sure. But thank you Bucky for all you have meant to me and every guitar player I admire. It is with admiration, respect, gratitude and indeed sadness that we here at Jazz Guitar Today say to you… R.I.P. Bucky Pizzarelli
