In this 4th installment of Ted Ludwig’s Lick of the week, Ted features a line that works well over a Major 7 #11 “Lydian” tonality.
The lick uses 3 devices to play over the CMaj9#11 chord, (Cmaj7 Arpeggio, Emin Pentatonic, and C LydianPentatonic). The C Lydian Pentatonic Scale, which consists of (C, E, F#, A, B), is a beautiful tool for coloring a CMaj7 chord. Enjoy!!!
