Chuck Anderson: My next project to record? I quickly dismissed the idea of jazz standards as well as my own original material. So, what to record? It hit me in a matter of seconds. I wanted to play spontaneously. No themes, no chord progressions, no written music. The process would be me playing and Doug Fearn recording.
I decided that I wanted 10 tracks. My only guideline would be instinct and creativity. In 90 minutes, we were done. Since the album had no plan, I decided to call it Spontaneity…
