Jazz guitarist Vince Lewis continues his JGT Arrangement Series with the classic, “Serenata”.
Serenata was originally written for full orchestra by Leroy Anderson. It premiered on May 10 1947 as an extra piece performed by the Boston Pops with Arthur Fiedler conducting. Lyrics were added by Mitchell Parish in 1950 and it actually appeared on the last album featuring Nat King Cole with George Shearing on the piano.
