Guitarist Ted Ludwig demonstrates Jimmy D’Aquisto’s Centura Deluxe from The Blue Guitar Collection – video #22 in the series.

This is where it all began – the beautiful blue Centura Deluxe that Scott Chinery commissioned from Jimmy D’Aquisto. It was Jimmy’s untimely passing in 1995 that inspired the entire Blue Guitar Collection and this is a fitting climax to this series of videos. Words such as seminal, legendary, and ground-breaking are overused these days but anything else falls short when describing this masterpiece of an instrument.

Jazz Guitar Today features the Archtop Foundation’s acquisitions from the Blue Guitar Collection with videos of luminary guitarist Ted Ludwig performing on each one.
