Jazz guitarist Vince Lewis continues his JGT Arrangement Series with the classic song from Midnight Cowboy, “Everybody’s Talkin’ At Me”.
Written and recorded in 1966 by composer Fred Neil this catchy tune became a hit in 1969 when Harry Nilsson took it to number 6 on the Billboard Pop Chart. It won a Grammy Award after it was featured in the film Midnight Cowboy which was a huge success at the box office and is still considered an iconic work of that era. It makes a terrific Bossa Nova and offers plenty of room for fun improvisation over the relatively simple chord changes.
