Jazz guitarist Vince Lewis continues his JGT Arrangement Series with “Too Late Now”.
“Too Late Now” was originally written for the movie The Royal Wedding and was written by Jay Lerner and Burton Lane in 1950. It has been covered by many legendary vocalists such as Nancy Wilson, Jane Powell, and Frank Sinatra. Wes Montgomery was my introduction to this haunting Ballad through his truly wonderful Chord Melody version he recorded on his album featuring his regular Organ Trio. A beautiful melody here with a unique bridge section that should be easily managed by our intermediate to advanced players/readers.
