New Album by London Guitarist/composer Ant Law, Unified Theories

Published

on

Unified Theories is Law’s sixth album as a leader, featuring ten new compositions.

The album marks the start of a brand new lineup. Brigitte Beraha (voice) sings self-penned lyrics on three tracks. Joining them are Will Vinson (alto sax) & Orlando le Fleming (bass) both of whom have returned to Britain after decades at the forefront of the NYC scene. In the last few years Gwilym Simcock (piano) has toured extensively with Pat Metheny. Cuban Ernesto Simpson (drums) known for his work with Dizzy Gillespie, Michael Brecker (and many more), completes the instrumentation.

The title ‘Unified Theories’ has a double meaning. The first refers to people in the world (or in this case, these six musicians) deciding on agreed, common ground as a starting point – a unified theory – rather than focusing on differences.

Gillespie, Michael Brecker (and many more), completes the instrumentation.
