New Album From Eleonora Strino
Italian jazz guitarist Eleonora Strino releases an album of solo guitar, Lumithia – available in April 2026.
Eleonora Strino: Lumithia is my new solo guitar project; each piece is inspired by a different story, most of them drawn from some of the books that have accompanied me in art and in life over these years.
Danny Boy: a famous Irish ballad.
The Bell Jar: the title of Sylvia Plath’s only novel, strongly autobiographical.
Jezabel: the title of a book by Irène Némirovsky.
Chopin’s Awakening: inspired by Kate Chopin’s novel The Awakening.
Alexandra Kollontai: dedicated to the life of the great Russian revolutionary.
Montenuovo: the name of a volcanic caldera near Pozzuoli (Naples).
Lumithia: the title of my mother’s novel.
Virginia: dedicated to Virginia Woolf.
Modesta: the name of the protagonist of Goliarda Sapienza’s novel The Art of Joy.
Camille: dedicated to my friend Camille and to Miriam Makeba, who died in Castel Volturno.
Ninna Nanni: dedicated to my nephew Nanni.
The Vegetarian: the title of the Nobel Prize–winning book by Han Kang.
Alfonsina y el mar: a famous Argentine zamba paying tributeto Alfonsina Storni, a Swiss-born Argentine poet who died by suicide at sea.
