Staffan William-Olsson is a Norwegian jazz guitarist (originally from Sweden) who started out as a fusion guitarist in the 80’s, had a brief stint in a hair metal band around 1990, and since 1992 has been mainly playing organ-based souljazz with The Real Thing. He also dabbles in arranging, especially for his nonet Sharp 9. His idols are George Benson, Wes Montgomery and Pat Martino.
