JGT Shares Jazz Guitar Experiences From Around The World
Iranian jazz guitarist Edris Abi shares his message and teaching methods with a video and arrangement of ‘Round Midnight’.
Although jazz music is not as common in Iran, Edris Abi has been playing and teaching jazz guitar there. Edris teaches both private lessons and workshops, creates jam sessions for his students and young players, analyzes jazz standards, and shares their scores/tutorial videos. He intends to share his message and create a larger audience.
Edris Adi – “I started to analyze jazz standards, formally and harmonically, and teaching them in videos.”
Below is Edris Abi’s arrangement of “‘Round Midnight“- the 1944 composition by pianist Thelonious Monk that became a jazz standard.
