In this exclusive JGT video podcast, Bob Bakert talks to Nashville guitarist Tom Hemby about his new album project, Dealin’ It.

Tom Hemby, truly a master of the guitar, and an amazing musician, is a serious veteran of the Nashville scene. Tom has played on thousands of projects and performed with luminaries such as Amy Grant, Vince Gill, Glen Campbell just to name a few.

As impressive as that may be, his newest project is a fantastic jazz record with his long time creative collaborators, Adam Nitti – bass, Keith Carlock – drums, Mark Douthit – sax, Michael Whittaker – keys. These five virtuosos are so locked into the music and each other on this project it’s a clinic and should be “must listening” in any jazz school ensemble curriculum. The tunes are hot, the arrangements are hotter, the ensemble playing is blistering and the solos will rip your face off… This record amazes me with its technical mastery and makes me smile at the same time because of the genius musicality.  Great stuff… get a copy, you wont be sorry…!
