Mooney explores John Coltrane’s “Moment’s Notice,” from the classic Blue Note album “Blue Train.”

The song is rife with harmonic complexity, and Mooney details his approach to navigate the difficulties. He also considers Dexter Gordon’s excellent 1970s version from “Manhattan Symphonie.”
